LYNCHBURG, Va.  — Senior Daniel Kuntz (Minneapolis, Minn./Breck School) scored 21 points on Sunday to lead the Washington and Lee men's track and field team to a second-place finish out of 11 teams at the Outdoor ODAC Championship hosted by Lynchburg.

Lynchburg won the conference title with 246 points. The Generals totaled 113 points and Shenandoah finished in third (111 points).

Highlights From the Meet

• Kuntz claimed first in the high jump with a leap of 1.88m (6'2.00"). He finished third in the javelin with a career-best throw of 48.41m (158'10.00"), and he placed fourth in the triple jump at 13.12m (43'0.50").
• Junior Joe O'Connor (Henrico, Va./Douglas Freeman) tied for second in the high jump at 1.83m (6'0.00"), and he was fourth in the 110m hurdles in 15.57. Sophomore Seamus Watters (New Orleans, La./Bronxville) placed third in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.45.
• First-year Adam Roy (Bedford, N.H./Bedford) was second in the javelin with a career-best throw of 49.97m (163'11.00").
• First-year Mark Waller (Mountain Brook, Ala./Mountain Brook) finished fourth in two events. He was fourth in the 400m hurdles in 57.16, and he tied for fourth with senior Jack Teagle (Gloucester, Va./Hampton Roads Academy) in the high jump at 1.78m (5'10.00").
• The Blue and White had four runners score in the 5,000m. Junior Drew Woodfolk (Kingwood, Texas/St. John's School) was fourth in 15:18.10, first-year Hayden Roberts (Lutherville, Md./Loyola Blakefield) took fifth (15:18.60), senior Daniel Cope (Dallas, Texas/St. Mark's School) claimed sixth in 15:21.27 and senior Freddie Marx (Greensboro, N.C./Walter Hines Page) was seventh (15:22.06).
• The track and field yearly awards and honors will be announced at a later date.
