Men’s Track and Field Concludes VMI Winter Relays

LEXINGTON, Va. - The Washington and Lee University men's track and field team concluded the VMI Winter Relays on Saturday afternoon with a pair of top ten finishes. 

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE MEET
  • Ford Hunter turned in the top finish today with a ninth place showing in the high jump with a mark of 1.85m (6'-00.75"). Fidel Small posted a season-best in the triple jump with a leap of 13.52m (44'-04.25"). Will DeLoach concluded the action with a tenth place finish in the mile run, crossing the finish line in 4:32.03 to finish in tenth place.

TOP TEN FINISHERS UP NEXT
  • The Generals will split up next weekend at three meets. The action will start on Friday, Feb. 13 as members of the team will travel to Boston, Mass. for the David Hemery Valentine Invite at BU. The team will travel to Salem, Va. for the Joe LaRocco Invite on Saturday the 14th before members of the team will head to Virginia Tech for the VT Showdown on Sunday the 15th.
