About the Facility
Welcome to the Mane Gait Equestrian Center, the home of the Washington and Lee University Equestrian program. Spanning approximately 130 acres, Mane Gait offers state-of-the-art facilities centered around a stunning 34-stall, European-designed main barn, complete with a second-floor barn manager's suite overlooking the expansive farm.
Riders enjoy both indoor and outdoor arenas, including a warm-up arena, a spacious 80-foot round pen, and 24 paddocks. The property also boasts two hillside shed row barns, offering additional accommodations for overnight guests and clinic attendees.
The adjacent 80-acre section provides an array of riding trails, a cross-country course, and uninterrupted views of the picturesque hay fields of Rockbridge County. As the new training and competition hub for the Generals, Mane Gait Equestrian Center perfectly blends world-class facilities with the natural beauty of the landscape, offering an exceptional environment for both horses and riders.
