Daniels, LaCour, Gartley, McDonough Snap 15-Year-Old 4x400m Program Record

LEXINGTON, Va. - First-years John Daniels, Connor LaCour, Macky Gartley and DJ McDonough of the Washington and Lee University men's track and field team broke a 15-year-old program record in the 4x400m relay on Friday evening at the VMI Invitational.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE MEET
  • John Daniels, Connor LaCour, Macky Gartley and DJ McDonough highlighted the action on Friday evening as they broke the program's 4x400m relay program record which stood for 15 years. The quartet clocked in a time of 3:19.70 to finish in first place. Their time currently ranks eighth in Division III this season.
  • Lukas Michael turned in a T-4th place finish in the pole vault, soaring over a height of 3.70m (12'-01.50"). William Fitch rounded out the Top Ten finishers with a ninth place finish in the 800m, crossing the finish line in personal best time of 1:58.03.
  • Mark Freeman clocked in the fourth-best mark in program history in the 200m, clocking in a time of 22.58s.
