LEXINGTON, Va.  — Hosting the W&L Carnival Quad on Saturday, the Washington and Lee men's track and field team won seven events.   

Highlights From the Meet

• Junior Joe O'Connor (Henrico, Va./Douglas Freeman) claimed the top spot in two events. He won the 110m hurdles with a time of 16.01 and won the pole vault at 4.48m (14'8.25"]).
• Senior Daniel Cope (Dallas, Texas/St. Mark's School) crossed the finish line first in the 5,000m in 14:59.85.
• Sophomore James Dixon (Mountain Brook, Ala./The Altamont School) took first in the 800m in 1:56.13.
• First-year Adam Roy (Bedford, N.H./Bedford) was first in the javelin with a toss of 44.15m (144'10.00"]).
• First-year Mark Waller (Mountain Brooke, Ala./Mountain Brook) placed first in the high jump with a leap of 1.80m (5'10.75").
• The Generals also claimed a victory in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:31.65. The quartet consisted of Waller, first-year Zach Moore (Advance, N.C./Forsyth Country Day School), Dixon and senior Danner Butler (Mobile, Ala./UMS-Wright).
