SALEM, Va. - The Washington and Lee University men's track and field team heads into championship season on Saturday as they make the trip to Roanoke College for the 2026 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday and Sunday.
Last season, the Blue and White turned in a
runner-up finish, scoring 91 points across 16 events. W&L had 11 student-athletes score points individually while the distance medley relay and 4x400m relay finished within the top eight to tally points
The Blue and White five All-ODAC honorees returning from last year's squad including ODAC Champions,
Evan Langhammer and
Keaton Rush. Langhammer secured his third-straight indoor conference title in the pole vault, clearing a winning height of 4.61m (15'-01.50"). He heads into championship weekend with the third-best mark in the field at 4.50m behind Jayden Watkins of Randolph and Walker Knicely of Bridgewater. Rush secured the first 5,000m title since 2017 after posting a personal best time of 14:46.90. Rush has the second-best seed time heading into the championship behind Alex Jordan of Lynchburg with a time of 14:33.81. Rush also earned Second Team honors last season in the 3,000m.
Robert Cooper is a returning Second Team All-ODAC honoree, turning in a second place finish in the 5,000m last season. Cooper finished right behind Rush last season, clocking in a time of 14:58.24. Copper will compete in the 3,000m this weekend, he has the sixth-best time in the field with a time of 8:44.94.
Davis Amare and
William Fitch rounded out the All-ODAC returners, earning Third Team laurels in the distance medley relay last season with a time of 10:48.94.
The weight throw will kick off the first day of action for the men's team at noon on Saturday with the 60m hurdles to start the events on the track at 3:30 p.m. The shot put will start the final day of action on Sunday at noon with the mile to kick off the track events at 2:30 p.m.
