The Lions (7-9) held an 8-3 advantage entering the bottom of the sixth. W&L (12-6) sophomore shortstop Austin Crane (Darien, Conn./Fairfield College Prep) led off the inning with a sharp grounder to third, but reached safely on a throwing error. First-year designated hitter Scott Simmons (Montgomery, Ala./Montgomery Academy) and sophomore outfielder Kyle Ruedisili (Jupiter, Fla./The Benjamin School) followed with back-to-back singles up the middle to load the bases.
Penn State Harrisburg changed pitchers and brought junior Kenny Mott (Green, N.J./Pope John) into the contest. First-year second baseman Chadwick Feeley (Jacksonville, Fla./Episcopal School) welcomed him to the game with a RBI single to left. Senior centerfielder Luke Myer (Durham, N.C./Durham Academy) then ripped a one-run single to right center to cut the lead to 8-5.

First-year Ben Decembrino (Yardley, Penn./Holy Ghost Prep) pinch ran and moved to second on a wild pitch. Diven then grounded out to first to record the first out, but moved Decembrino to third on the play.
