GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Washington and Lee University baseball team was honored for their hard work in the classroom as they earned their second-straight American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award.

The ABCA recognized nearly 500 college programs and more than 320 high school teams nationwide for maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2025-26 academic year. Washington and Lee was one of 196 NCAA Division III programs to receive the honor and one of four teams from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) to be acknowledged.

W&L's academic achievements extend beyond the ABCA as Brody Pasieka, Cooper Charneco, Henry Steene, Nathan DeWitte and Camdyn Teague were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team while 27 of the 30 student-athletes earned Academic All-ODAC honors.

On the diamond, the Blue and White posted a 21-14-1 overall record with a 10-9-1 mark in league play, making the conference tournament for the third time in the last four seasons. Alex Caywood, Nathan DeWitte, Cooper Charneco and Camdyn Teauge earned All-ODAC honors while A. Caywood was named D3baseball.com's Region 6 Rookie of the Year while he and DeWitte garnered All-Region honors from both D3baseball.com and the ABCA.
