INDIANAPOLIS – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced the Division III Women's Tennis Singles and Doubles Championship qualifiers and alternates on Wednesday evening, and Washington and Lee junior Lauren Long qualified for this year's tournament.

Long will make her third consecutive appearance in the national singles tournament, following back-to-back second-round finishes as a first-year and a sophomore to earn NCAA/ITA All-America honors. This year's championship will be hosted by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges in Claremont, Calif.

Long has had another strong season for the Generals, as she owns a 15-1 record in singles play this season, including 3-1 against nationally-ranked opponents. Her three ranked wins each came in succession early in the season, as she knocked off No. 13 Ruth Hill of Trinity (Texas) 6-0, 6-3, No. 3 Emily Kantrovitz of Emory 6-4, 6-3 and No. 1 Jackie Soloveychik 2-6, 6-3, 1-0 (8). Long, who is up to No. 17 in the latest ITA singles national rankings enters NCAA Tournament team play on a nine-match winning streak, with eight of those victories in straight sets.
