INDIANAPOLIS – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced the 2026 Division III Women's Tennis Singles and Doubles Championship qualifiers and alternates on Wednesday evening, and Washington and Lee senior
Lauren Long qualified for this year's tournament.
Now a four-time qualifier, Long will look to make her third appearance at this year's national singles tournament after missing last season's due to injury. In the previous two, Long secured first-round wins in both to claim NCAA/ITA All-America honors. This year's championship will be hosted by Sewanee: The University of the in Chattanooga, Tenn. Long is the first player for the W&L women's tennis program to qualify for the national singles tournament all four years since Sonja Meighan '15.
After missing the fall portion of her senior season, Long has returned to form this spring with a 12-3 singles record, all coming from the No. 1 position. She was especially dominant in ODAC play this season, winning all five of her regular season matches in straight sets and dropping just two games in the process. Long's top result this season came in a 6-3, 6-3 victory against then 11th-ranked Nana Vang of Whitman on March 17.

The 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Singles Championship will commence with first and second round play on Friday, May 22, at the Champions Tennis Club in Chattanooga, Tenn. The quarterfinals will be played on May 23, semifinals on May 24 and national championship match on May 25. Singles matchups will be announced in the days leading up to the start of the tournament.
