TEMPE, Ariz. – Washington and Lee women's tennis recent graduate
Lauren Long headlined the honored Generals in the final ITA singles and doubles rankings of the season, claiming her fourth career ITA All-America citation in singles.
The selection criteria for Division III All-Americans is the following: top 8 seed in the NCAA singles tournament, win one round at the NCAA singles tournament, finish in the Top 20 in the final ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings, win ITA Fall Regional Tournament, or win a first-round match at the ITA National Small College Championships (ITA Cup). Long collected her All-America honor by way of her win in the first round of this season's NCAA Division III Singles Championship, before going on to make an appearance in the national quarterfinal round.
Coming in No. 26 in the final singles rankings of the season and No. 5 in the Atlantic South region, Long was joined in the national rankings by recent graduate
Grace Lorenz and rising junior
Sarah Donnelly. Long and Lorenz settled in at No. 49 in the national doubles rankings, while Donnelly is ranked 74th nationally in singles and 12th in the region.
As a team, the Generals are 11th in the final national team rankings of the 2025-26 campaign after earning their first NCAA quarterfinal appearance in five years. W&L completed the season with a 22-3 overall record, the most wins in a season in 11 years, and won its 23rd straight ODAC championship this season, as well.
