6/2/2026 12:00:00 PM

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Division III Women's Tennis teams were announced on Tuesday, and Washington and Lee recent graduate Lauren Long made the third team.

Long becomes just the eighth player in W&L women's tennis history to be named a CSC/CoSIDA Academic All-American, and she is the first to receive the honor since Brooke Donnelly '17 made the first team in 2017.

Long capped off a highly successful career on the court in 2026, claiming her fourth straight ODAC Player of the Year award and advancing to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Singles Championship. In doing so, Long became just the third player in program history to secure NCAA/ITA All-America honors in singles for a fourth straight season.

Overall, Long produced a 16-5 record in singles play this season, to go along with a mark of 11-5 in doubles. She concluded her career with a 124-41 combined record, which included a 67-16 ledger in singles.

Off the court, Long excelled in her academic endeavors at W&L, as she earned each of the last two ODAC/Va. Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar Athlete of the Year awards as a biochemistry major and entrepreneurship minor. A three-time ITA Scholar Athlete, Long also served as a teaching assistant for the organic chemistry lab at W&L and is preparing to attend Indiana University School of Medicine.

Long helped the Generals produce one of the best seasons in recent team history in 2025-26, as W&L claimed its 23rd straight and 35th overall ODAC championship. The team went on to make its first national quarterfinal appearance in five years and finish the season with a 22-3 record, the most wins in a season since 2014-15 (24).
