FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Washington and Lee women's tennis team wrapped up its action at the 2026 ITA Southeast Region Championships on Sunday with Round of 16 finishes and deep runs in consolation brackets.
 
HIGHLIGHTS FROM DAY 3:

• Sophomore Sarah Ladd highlighted the team's efforts in singles on Sunday by winning three matches, including the Championship Singles consolation final. She opened with an 8-1 win in the quarterfinals over Jolie Zink (Haverford), advanced through the semifinals on an injury default and then downed UMW's Evelyn Snyder, 8-2, in the consolation championship.
• Sophomore Lulu Koziol rebounded from a loss in the Blue 1 Round of 16 on Saturday to collect wins in the consolation quarterfinals and semifinals to finish 2-1 on the weekend. She handled Kirsten Strickler (Swarthmore), 8-2, before defeating Annie Nemoy (Catholic), 8-4, in the semifinal.
• The Generals posted three Round of 16 finishes in the Championship Doubles draw in the pairings of Margarette Berdy/Greer Webb, Ladd/Susanna Whitehead and Mary Kate Kahl/Allie Murrell. The three duos opened play on Sunday morning but fell to two Johns Hopkins teams and Ahona Chowdhury/Maya Diyasheva of Carnegie Mellon.

This concludes the W&L women's tennis team's fall season. The Generals will pick things back up for their spring season on Friday, February 19, with a home match against Vassar to kick-off Groundhog Palooza.
