TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its 2025 Regional Award winners on Monday, and Washington and Lee junior Lauren Long was named the Atlantic South Region Player to Watch.

Long, who earlier this week was named the ODAC Player of the Year for a third straight season, concluded play in 2024-25 with a 16-2 record in singles play, to go along with an 11-5 mark in doubles play. Also an All-ODAC First Team performer at No. 1 singles for a third consecutive season, Long went 13-2 at No. 1 singles this season and 9-3 at No. 1 doubles.

"Lauren had a great season and I could not be more proud of the work she put in," said Head Women's Tennis Coach Erin Ness. "She is one of the best players in the country and I have no doubt she will show that next year."

Long has excelled throughout her three-year collegiate career, qualifying for the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Singles Championship three times and twice earning NCAA/ITA All-America honors through a pair of first round wins in her first two seasons. As a first-year, Long was also named the ODAC and ITA Atlantic Region Rookie of the Year.

Long has compiled a 51-11 career singles record and 46-20 career doubles record, while helping the Generals to three ODAC championship crowns, three NCAA Tournament berths and an overall team record of 57-15 over the last three seasons.
