5/2/2025 10:47:00 AM

LEXINGTON, Va. - The ninth-ranked Washington and Lee University women's lacrosse team enters the 2025 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship as the clear favorite following a dominant regular season campaign. The Generals posted a perfect 10-0 conference record, extending their run of undefeated ODAC regular seasons to 11 consecutive years. As the No. 1 seed, W&L has secured home-field advantage through the semifinals and potentially the championship if they remain the highest seed standing.

All fans planning on attending should note that the ODAC requires tickets be purchased for all semifinal and championship contests. Fans can purchase tickets online only and can be done so using the league's ticketing partner, Hometown Ticketing, here.

Road to the Top: Generals Cruise Through ODAC Slate

W&L was the only team to escape the regular season unscathed in conference play, continuing a legacy of dominance that includes 23 ODAC Championships to date. The Generals' path to the title begins in the semifinals on Friday, May 2, where they will host the winner of the quarterfinal matchup, #4 Randolph-Macon, who took down #5 Lynchburg in a 13-12 nail-biter on Wednesday afternoon.

While much of the tournament field was decided through complex tiebreaking procedures, W&L's play left no question about its position atop the bracket. The Generals' stingy defense and balanced offense have been key to their success all season and will be instrumental as they chase another championship.

On the other side of the bracket #3 Roanoke will travel to #2 Shenandoah at 4 p.m. and the winner of both semifinal matchups will meet on Sunday at the highest remaining seed.

Semifinals – Friday, May 2
Game 5: #4 RMC  at #1 Washington and Lee – 4:15 PM
Game 6: #3 Roanoke College at #2 Shenandoah – 4:00 PM

Championship – Sunday, May 4
Game 7: Time TBD at Highest Remaining Seed

Last Time Out vs. Randolph-Macon (March 26, 2025)

In their regular-season clash on March 26, Washington and Lee earned a hard-fought 11–8 victory over Randolph-Macon at Watt Field. The Generals never trailed, but the game was tightly contested throughout, with the Yellow Jackets pulling within a single goal on three separate occasions. A key 4-2 fourth-quarter push, led by Hannah Van Son's four-goal performance, helped W&L secure the win.

Despite being outdrawn 12-11, the Generals dominated several other statistical categories, including a 29-14 edge in shots and a 22-18 advantage in ground balls. Emma Marsh added a hat trick, scoring twice in the fourth quarter to help stave off R-MC's late comeback attempts, while Claire Horner chipped in two goals of her own.

Defensively, W&L forced 21 R-MC turnovers and was anchored by strong efforts from Libby Ford and Christina Petras, who combined for five ground balls and three caused turnovers. Goalkeeper Iman Haddad made three saves in the win.

The Yellow Jackets were paced by Rianna Lowery's three goals, and goalkeeper Ellen Stark kept them in the game with 12 saves, but W&L's depth and poise in the final quarter proved the difference.
