LEXINGTON, Va. - For the tenth consecutive season, the Washington and Lee University (14-3) women's lacrosse team enters into the Old Dominion Athletic Conference postseason with the top seed after recording a perfect league record during the regular season.

The Generals posted an 9-0 slate to earn the bye through the first two rounds of play. Tuesday's quarterfinal matchup saw fifth-seeded Randolph-Macon upset #4 University of Lynchburg, 22-8, to earn a trip to Lexington; W&L will host RMC at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 3.

Friday night will be a rematch of the March 20th meeting between the two programs. In March, the Generals put up 16 goals against the Yellow Jackets and only allowed five in. The Blue and White, who have not lost to RMC since 2004, found the back of the net for nine of the first 11 goals and owned an 8-2 advantage at the half.

The Generals have found themselves with a balanced attack this season and the highest scoring margin in the league with a differential of 8.9 goals. The squad has accomplished this playing one of the toughest schedules in all of Division III, a slate that included nine ranked opponents out of 17 games, and five of those were ranked inside the IWLCA/USA Lacrosse Top 10.

Through the regular season, the Blue and White scored 15.76 goals per game and dish out just over 5.5 assists to combine for 21.35 points per game. The Generals' attack leads the conference in shots per game with 32.24 attempts and a .489 shooting percentage.

Defensively, W&L has caused 180 turnovers and has successfully cleared 88.3 percent of the transition attempts. In loose balls, the Generals have scooped up 322 ground balls (57.5 percent) and 272 draw controls (62 percent).

On the other side of the bracket, #3 Shenandoah University will travel to #2 Roanoke College for a 1 p.m. start on Friday. The winner of the semifinals will advance to the ODAC Championships on Sunday, May 5 at the highest seed remaining.
