HOW IT HAPPENED

• Ginny Taylor and Sophie Edwards tallied the first two goals of the night, less than a minute apart, in the opening stanza. Julia Thomson and Hanna Bishop dished out the respective assists.
• The Yellow Jackets evened the score at two-all at the 7:49 mark.
• Claire Horner put the Generals up for good with 3:55 left on the clock in the first period. The go-ahead goal kicked off a seven-goal scoring streak for W&L. 
• The Blue and White scorers in the second quarter were Julia Thomson (woman-up goal from Bishop), Taylor, Bishop, Edwards, and Alex Petras capped halftime with a goal five seconds before the first half's horn and then again, 43 seconds into the third quarter off a Taylor feed to bring the score to 9-2. 
• At 12:29, Bishop broke up a pair of RMC goals and Horner started another W&L streak of six goals that stretched into the fourth quarter for a 16-4 advantage.
• RMC's Taylor Mittelstadter scored the last tally of the night to bring the final to 16-5. 

BY THE NUMBERS

• The Generals outshot RMC 31-13. 
• W&L also owned the turnover battle with just 13 blemishes on the turnover line compared to RMC's 22. 
• Macon had a 22-18 advantage in ground balls but W&L won on the circle with 14 draw controls to RMC's nine. 

W&L LEADERS 

• Senior Hanna Bishop led the Blue and White with three goals and three assists for six points. 
• Edwards, Horner, Petras and Taylor all found the back of the net on two occasions tonight.  
• Shannon Timoney, Walker McKnight, Emma Marsh, Betty Boatwright and Thomson added one score each. 
• Goalkeeper Caroline Kranich led the Generals to a perfect 15-of-15 successful clears. 
• Timoney caused a pair of turnovers and scooped up three ground balls. 
• Cat Caples and McKnight evenly split 12 draw controls to lead the team on the circle.

RMC LEADERS

• Annie Bartley led the home team with two goals and an assist for three points. Bartley also collected two ground balls.
• Emma Taylor scooped up four ground balls and Emma Moxham recorded four draw controls.
