LEXINGTON, Va. - For the ninth consecutive season, the Washington and Lee University (16-1) women's lacrosse team enters into the Old Dominion Athletic Conference post season with the top seed after recording a perfect league record during the regular season.

The Generals posted an 8-0 slate to earn the bye through the first two rounds of play. Tuesday's quarterfinal matchup saw fifth-seeded Randolph-Macon (10-9) upset #4 University of Lynchburg, 16-15, to earn a trip to Lexington for the second time this season; W&L will host R-MC at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 5.

Friday night will be a rematch of the April 19 meeting between the two programs. In April, the Generals put up 18 goals against the Yellow Jackets and only allowed four in. The Blue and White, who have not lost to R-MC since 2004, found the back of the net for the first 12 goals en route to an 18-4 victory.

The Generals led the conference in nearly every statistical category against ODAC opponents; W&L averages a league-best 19.75 goals per game and have allowed a low average of 3.38 goals against. In 299 shots and 237 shots on goal during league contests, 52.8 percent of those shots resulted in points on the board for the Generals. The Blue and White take care of the ball on the offensive end with just 71 turnovers while the squad has forced 86 on defense. Overall, W&L has won 62.9 percent of draw opportunities and has been successful on 91.4 percent of clears.

On the other side of the bracket, #3 Shenandoah University will travel to #2 Roanoke College for a 1 p.m. start on Friday. The winner of the semifinals will advance to the ODAC Championships on Sunday, May 7 at the highest seed remaining.
