LEXINGTON, Va. — The Washington and Lee women's track and field team competes at the Outdoor ODAC Championship this Friday and Saturday. The league meet will be hosted by the University of Lynchburg. 
 
At the 2021 championship, Lynchburg claimed the team title after scoring 238 points, followed by Roanoke in second with 140 points and W&L in third with 131 points. Then junior Abbey Pinkerton (Suwanee, Ga. / North Gwinnett) claimed the lone event win for the Blue and White, as she raced to a time of 4:56.69 in the 1500m.
 
The two-day meet will begin on Friday at 12:30 pm. The full meet schedule and live results can be found here. 
 
100m
- Sophomore Katelyn Gamble (Houston, Texas / The Kinkaid School) and junior Susannah Birle (Charlottesville, Va. / Charlottesville) are both seeded in the Top 10, with Gamble second and Birle ninth. Gamble ran a program-record and ODAC-best time time of 11.97 at the W&L Carnival on March 19, while Birle's best time this season of 12.70 also came on March 19.

- Gamble enters the championship meet with the fourth-fastest time in the 200m this season, when she posted a time of 25.31 at the Battleground Relays on April 2.

- Sophomore Jordynn Palethorpe (Barrington, R.I. / Barrington) is seeded ninth in the 400m, with a season-best time of 1:01.23, which she set last weekend at the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational.

- Senior Avery Schiffman (New Vernon, N.J. / The Pingry School) (2:16.31) leads a group of four Generals seeded in the Top 10 in the 800m, as she posted the second-fastest time in the ODAC this season at the Colonial Relays on March 31. Coming in one spot behind Schiffman is junior Parker Hawk (Dallas, Texas / The Hockaday School) with a time of 2:21.59 set on March 18 at the W&L Carnival. Rounding out the group is first-year Alex Preziotti (New York, N.Y. / Taft School) (2:25.09) in sixth and senior Sarah Hollen (Palmyra, Pa. / Palmyra Area) (2:25.34) in seventh.

- Five Generals appear in the Top 10 in the 1500m, led by Schiffman who leads the ODAC with a time of 4:39.94 set at the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational. Hawk has the second-fastest time in the ODAC this season (4:46.21), while Hollen is fifth at 4:56.99, first-year Mimi Kemp (Richmond, Va. / Maggie Walker Governor's School) is seventh at 5:04.33 and first-year Adia Vera (Kyle, Texas / Jack C. Hays) comes in eighth at 5:06.47.

- Four Generals claim spots in the Top 10, led by Romano in fourth with a time of 1:05.68. Senior Anna Hurst (Pewee Valley, Ky. / Louisville Collegiate School) (1:08.66) and sophomore Paige Tulenko (Holmdel, N.J. / Holmdel) (1:08.81) are seventh and eighth, respectively, and junior Sarah Teagle (Gloucester, Va. / Hampton Roads Academy) rounded out the quartet in 10th (1:13.71).

- Sophomore Sydney Heifner (Nashville, Tenn. / Harpeth Hall) leads a group of three Generals seeded inside the Top 10, with a top mark of 1.55m (5'1.0"). Sophomore Ellie Veenhof (Ridgewood, N.J. / Ridgewood) comes in eighth at 1.52m (4'11.75") and junior Elizabeth Hertzberg (Ridgewood, N.J. / Ridgewood) is 10th at a height of 1.50m (4'11.0").

Pole Vault
- D'Ambrosia enters the championship with the third-highest vault in the conference this season, when she recorded a mark of 3.21m (10'6.25") at the Battleground Relays on April 2. Senior Murfee Jones (Lookout Mountain, Ga. / Girls Preparatory School) comes in ninth at 2.90m (9'6.25").

- First-year Quinlin Zunk (Moseley, Va. / Cosby) posted an ODAC-best throw of 39.84m on April 2 at the Battleground Relays. She is the only Generals seeded in the Top 10 for the event.
