• Josie Engle posted the lone first place finish for the Blue and White in the 3,000m steeplechase, coasting to a time of 11:56.13 which is the eighth-fastest in program history. Julie Anne Bush joined Engle in the event, finishing right behind her in second place with a time of 12:18.82. 
• Leah Smith and Emily Jackson both competed in the discus this afternoon with Smith finishing in fourth place with a toss of 34.32m (112'-07.00"). Jackson finished in 12th place with a mark of 28.19m (92'-05.75").

• The Generals are back in action for day two tomorrow morning at 10:30 a.m. with the high jump and pole vault while the 4x100m relay will kick off the events on the track at 11:30 a.m.
