Women’s Track & Field Earns 21 USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Washington and Lee University women's track and field team earned 21 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-South Region honors for their performances on the track during the outdoor season.

The top-eight performances in each event, including relays, earn the distinction of All-Region in the ten regions. The Generals' 21 All-Region honorees mark the most in program history.

Olivia Warr highlighted the honorees as she garnered three honors in the 1,500m, 5,000m and 10,000m. Warr led the south region in the 10,000m with a program record time 34:53.56 while ranking second in the 5,000m with a time of 16:56.91, the second-fastest time in program history. In the 1,500m, Warr ranked fourth in the south region this season with a time of 4:38.74.

Cassie Carr, Bailey Hedgemon and Jesma Evans garnered a pair of All-Region citations. Carr earned honors in the 800m and 1,500m, she ranks second in the region in the 1,500m with a time of 4:30.50, the second-fastest time in program history, while posting the third-best mark in the 800m with a program record time of 2:13.30. Hedgemon ranked second in the hammer throw this season with a program record mark of 53.81m (176'-06.00") while holding the eighth-best mark in the south region in the shot put with a toss of 12.15m (39'-10.50"). Evans earned a pair of honors, ranking third in the 400m with a program record time of 56.11s while ranking fifth in the 4x400m relay alongside Lucie Graziano, Ana Hodneland and Annabelle Sutliff with a program record time of 3:54.40.
