ATLANTA – The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its 2022 All-America teams on Tuesday, and Washington and Lee senior guard
Megan Horn (Basking Ridge, N.J./The Pingry School) garnered an honorable mention nod.
Also a D3hoops.com All-Region First Team selection and the 2021-22 ODAC Player of the Year, Horn finished the season ranking fourth in the ODAC in scoring average (13.8), seventh in rebounds per game (7.2) and third in assists per game (4.0). Horn's scoring and rebounding averages were both single-season career highs, and she also tallied her third season with at least 100 assists, tied with Meg Ingram '12 for the most such seasons in program history.
Horn crossed the 300-assist mark for her career this season as well, becoming the fourth player in program history to do so, and she also finishes her career alongside Louisa Feve '06 as one of two players in program history with at least 300 assists and at least 400 rebounds. Horn ends her career with the fourth-most assists in program history (353), sixth-most three-point field goals (132) and the program's only triple-double.
This marks the second straight season that the Generals have had a player selected to a WBCA All-America team after current assistant coach
Erin Hughes '21 earned an honorable mention citation last year. In total, Horn is just the fourth player in program history to earn an All-America citation.
