Horn claims D3hoops.com Second Team All-Region accolade

LEXINGTON, Va. – D3hoops.com announced its 2020-21 women's basketball all-region teams on Wednesday, and Washington and Lee junior guard Megan Horn (Basking Ridge, N.J./The Pingry School) was tabbed to the All-South Region Second Team.

Also an All-ODAC selection this season, Horn set career highs in points (13.0), rebounds (6.0) and assists (4.8) per game marks. Her average of 4.8 assists per contest ranked second in the ODAC, while her 38 total assists were tied for the fourth most in the league, and she logged four or more assists in 7-of-8 games this season. Horn shot 40.4 percent from the floor and 43.8 percent from long range, both career highs, and she scored 10 or more points in five games.

Despite the shortened season, Horn's 38 assists moved her from 10th to sixth on the program's all-time career assists list, and she is also eighth in program history for three-pointers made (92).

Horn is the first W&L women's basketball player to be named to a D3hoops.com all-region team since Becca Bolton '12 earned third team honors in 2009-10.

The Generals completed the abbreviated 2020-21 season with a 5-3 overall record and an ODAC Tournament semifinals appearance.
