INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA released its list of swimmers selected to compete at the 2020 Division III Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, and seven members of the Washington and Lee women's swimming team will be competing, including all five relays.

Seniors
Emily Hageboeck (Charleston, W.Va./George Washington) and
Ali MacQueen (Memphis, Tenn./St. Mary's Episcopal School), along with junior
Mattie Grant (Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover), headlined the individual invitees, as the trio qualified for three events each. Hageboeck comes in with top times of 4:26.13 in the 400 IM, 1:03.24 in the 100 breast and 2:17.12 in the 200 breast.

MacQueen will swim in the 50 free (23.74), 100 free (51.48) and 100 fly (54.90), and Grant will swim in the 200 free (1:54.12), 500 free (4:59.96) and 1650 free (17:13.79).

Sophomore
Caroline Baber (Richmond, Va./Collegiate School) and first-year
Sara Gaston (Mechanicsville, Va./Lee-Davis) rounded out the group of five Generals who will compete as individuals. Baber comes in with a top time of 2:05.61 in the 200 IM and Gaston boasts a time of 2:03.30 in the 200 back.

As for the relays, the Generals' top times all came from winning efforts at the ODAC Championships. Sophomores
Turner Bobbitt (Charlotte, N.C./Myers Park) and
Claudia Barnett (Charlotte, N.C./South Mecklenburg) will swim with Hageboeck and MacQueen on the 400 medley relay (3:48.14), while MacQueen, Baber, Barnett and Gaston qualified for the 200 free relay (1:34.69). Barnett, Baber, MacQueen and Gaston come in with a top time of 3:29.40 in the 400 free relay.
W&L also comes in with top times of 1:44.33 in the 200 medley relay and 7:38.78 in the 800 free relay.

The Generals finished the 2019 NCAA Championships in 10th place after tallying 121.5 points. MacQueen led the way with First Team All-America honors after tying for third in the 100 fly. Hageboeck was a First Team All-American in the 200 breast (fifth place) and an Honorable Mention All-American in the 100 breast (10th place) and Baber claimed Honorable Mention All-America laurels with a 16th-place effort in the 200 IM. All four qualified relays swam to All-America finishes, led by seventh-place performances by the 200 medley and 200 free relays.

The 2020 NCAA Championships will be held from March 18 to 21 at the Greensboro Aquatics Center in Greensboro, N.C.
