INDIANAPOLIS — Washington and Lee will be represented across both the men's and women's competitions at the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, set for March 18–21 at the IU Natatorium. The Generals qualified multiple entries through their performances at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships and will compete in a combination of individual and relay events across all four days.

Women's Preview

Senior Maria Jellig will represent Washington and Lee in the 200 backstroke (Day 3) at the NCAA Championships.

Jellig qualified for nationals following a strong showing at the 2026 ODAC Championships, where she posted a 2:05.32 in the 200 backstroke. She earned First Team All-ODAC honors and contributed to the Generals' conference team title.

In addition to her NCAA event, Jellig recorded second-place finishes in the 200 individual medley (2:07.69) and 100 butterfly (56.83), demonstrating versatility across multiple strokes. She also swam on three ODAC-champion relay teams, including the 800 freestyle relay (7:43.84), 200 medley relay (1:46.66) and 400 medley relay (3:52.43).

Jellig enters the national meet as Washington and Lee's lone women's qualifier and will compete against a full Division III field in Indianapolis.
