INDIANAPOLIS — Senior Maria Jellig competed in the 200-yard backstroke on Saturday at the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at the IU Natatorium, finishing 31st overall in the national field.
Jellig posted a time of 2:03.71 in the preliminary session, closing out her NCAA Championships appearance after qualifying for the meet with a strong performance at the ODAC Championships of 2:02.80.
Jellig opened the race in 29.25 over the first 50 before settling into a consistent pace through the middle portion of the swim. She reached the halfway point in 1:00.20 (30.95 split) and continued with steady splits of 31.57 and 31.94 over the final two 50s to finish in 2:03.71.
