GREENSBORO, N.C. - Washington and Lee secured the 2026 ODAC Women's Swimming Championship on Saturday, totaling 840 points at the Greensboro Aquatic Center to claim the program's 35th conference title in league history. The Generals outpaced runner-up Lynchburg (604) and third-place Randolph-Macon (597) to capture the crown.
W&L closed the meet with three individual event victories and a relay title on the final day to seal the championship effort, capping a week defined by depth and consistent podium finishes. That depth was reflected in the postseason honors, as Washington and Lee placed 18 swimmers across the All-ODAC teams.
Earning First Team All-ODAC honors, awarded to first- and second-place individual finishers, were Sophia Brame-Goldthwaite, Celia Bredehoeft, Julia Connor, Maria Jellig, Peighton Kruzel and Morgan Smith. Named to the Second Team, recognizing third- and fourth-place finishes, were Tenra Adams, Frances Fenton, Virginia Lathrop, Eme Monackey and Marcy Mortimer. Receiving Third Team recognition, for fifth- and sixth-place finishes, were Grace Bentley, Gabby Clemens, Amelia Macholz, Amelia Maloof, Paige McBoyle and Vivian Pickeral.
Highlighting the program's success in the classroom as well as the pool, senior Paige McBoyle was named the ODAC/VAFB Women's Swimming Scholar-Athlete of the Year, recognizing her excellence in academics and competition.
