CSC All-District Swimming 2026

Bredehoeft, McBoyle, Maloof and Smith Named CSC Academic All-District for Women’s Swimming

LEXINGTON, Va. — Four members of the Washington and Lee University women's swimming team were named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team, recognizing their combined excellence in the pool and in the classroom.

Celia Bredehoeft, Paige McBoyle, Amelia Maloof and Morgan Smith earned the honor for the Generals, continuing the program's strong tradition of academic and athletic achievement.

Bredehoeft, an sophomore Accounting major, delivered a standout season in the distance freestyle events, earning ODAC First Team All-ODAC recognition after winning conference titles in the 500 and 1650 freestyle. She also owns the program record in the 1,000 freestyle and is a multi-term W&L Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-ODAC honoree.

McBoyle, a senior Neuroscience major, earned Third Team All-ODAC honors with a fifth-place finish in the 200 breaststroke and continued success in the IM and breaststroke events. A team leader and consistent contributor throughout her career, she is a multi-year W&L Scholar-Athlete and was voted as the ODAC/Virginia Farm Beurau Scholar-Athlete of the year by the conference's sports information directors this season with extensive involvement in leadership, service and clinical experiences.

Maloof, a junior majoring in both the Classics and Engineering, garnered Third Team All-ODAC recognition and contributed to multiple conference-winning relay performances, including the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays. An NCAA relay qualifier in 2025 and CSC Academic All-District selection, she is also a CSCAA First Team Scholar All-American and multi-year Academic All-ODAC honoree.

Smith, a senior Cognitive and Behavioral Science major, posted an exceptional championship performance as the team's point-leader, earning First Team All-ODAC honors with an ODAC title in the 200 breaststroke, a runner-up finish in the 100 breaststroke and a third-place showing in the 200 IM. She also contributed to multiple winning relay efforts and is a multi-year W&L Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-ODAC selection.

The CSC Academic All-District® program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom across NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA. Nominees must meet a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and satisfy sport-specific athletic criteria.
