No. 13 W&L Women's Tennis Falls to Top-Ranked Emory, 8-1

ATLANTA, Ga. – The 13th-ranked W&L women's tennis team fell 8-1 to top-ranked Emory University on Tuesday evening at the Woodruff PE Center.

With the loss, the Generals fall to 16-4 overall, while Emory improves to 10-5 overall.

The duo of junior Michelle Fleenor (Chattanooga, Tenn. / Girls Preparatory School) and first-year Lauren Hassell (Mendham, N.J. / West Morris Mendham) won the Generals only point with a 9-8 victory over Michelle Satterfield and Daniela Lopez at No. 2 Doubles.

W&L returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Georgia Gwinnett for a 2:00 pm contest.
