W&L Women's Swim Falls to Johns Hopkins, 167-89

BALTIMORE, Md. -- The Washington and Lee women's swim team took part in a dual meet with Johns Hopkins on Saturday, falling to the Blue Jays, 167-89.

W&L (8-3) had three individual event victories on the day.  Sophomore Brittany Ross (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) recorded a top-time of 2:14.82 in the 200 fly, while first-year Lauren Kasoff (Owings Mills, Md./Saint Paul's) finished tops in the 100 fly with a time of 1:01.96 and junior Katie Salvati (Roselle Park, N.J./Mount Saint Mary Academy) was victorious in the 200 IM (2:21.49).

The Generals also recorded two second-place finishes, with junior Jocelyn Cassada (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Country Day) recording a time of 1:01.86 in the 100 back and the 400 free relay squad of sophomore Izzy Brassfield (Greensboro, N.C./Greensboro Day), first-year Rebecca Lawrence (Wayne, Pa./Conestoga), Cassada and sophomore Delaney Rolfe (Dallas, Texas/Highland Park) taking second in a time of 3:48.46.

W&L returns to action on Feb. 11-13, as it takes part in the ODAC Championships.
