LEXINGTON, Va. – Washington and Lee used a 22-2 run midway through the first half to cruise to an 80-37 victory over Randolph College in ODAC women's basketball action on Sunday afternoon at the Warner Center.

The Generals (9-4, 6-3) led 9-7 with 12:57 remaining in the opening period, but used the run that featured seven points and four steals from senior guard Allie Long (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y./Hastings) to stretch their lead to 31-9 with 7:24 left in the half. 

Randolph (0-12, 0-7) used an 8-0 run over the next 2:34 to make it a 14-point game (31-17) with 4:50 left in the half, but W&L closed the half with a 14-5 streak for a 45-22 lead at the intermission.

The second half saw the Generals continue to stretch their lead.  Another Long steal and a subsequent three-point play by junior guard Meg Ingram (Greensboro, N.C./Ragsdale) made it a 30-point lead (57-27) with 14:54 to play.  For Ingram, the play signified her 1,000th career point, becoming the eighth player in school history to reach the plateau.  W&L continued to roll from there in posting the 43-point win.

Ingram finished with a game-high 20 points, seven assists and four rebounds.  She now has 1,001 points over her three seasons.  Junior forward Becca Bolton (Pittsboro, N.C./Chatham Central) recorded her first double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Long contributed 12 points, seven steals and six assists.  Junior forward Kari Ann Pfannenstein (Littleton, Colo./Heritage) pitched in 10 points, while sophomore forward Katy Wilson (Chattanooga, Tenn./Baylor) added five points and a career-high 14 rebounds.

Randolph was paced by first-year guard Courtney Bouchard (Fairfax, Va./W.T. Woodson), who notched 11 points.  Classmate Brandie Witt (Bedford, Va./Liberty) chipped in eight points from her guard spot.

Washington and Lee returns to action on Tuesday as it hosts Southern Virginia for a 7:00 pm contest.
