BALTIMORE, Md.-- Senior forward Greg Bienemann (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) led three W&L players in double-figures with 22 points to lift the Generals to a 71-47 victory over Goucher on Thursday evening.
The Generals (5-4) jumped out to a 19-7 lead with 8:17 remaining in the first half en route to a nine-point lead (33-24) at the break. W&L used a 13-0 run over the first 3:34 of the second stanza and led by double figures the rest of the way in cruising to the 71-47 victory.
Bienemann also notched six rebounds and six assists for the Generals, while sophomore forward Zac White (Baltimore, Md./Park School) notched 12 points and three rebounds. Senior forward Femi Kusimo (Cross Lanes, W.Va./Charleston Catholic) also tallied 11 points and grabbed seven boards.
Goucher (3-3) was led by Cameron Brown's eight points and Nick DeSouza, who tallied seven points. Washington and Lee returns to action on Wednesday as it travels to Eastern Mennonite for a 7:00 pm contest.
