LEXINGTON, Va. -- Mary Washington jumped out to an 8-0 halftime lead and cruised to a 14-3 win over Washington and Lee in women's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon at the Liberty Hall Fields.
The Eagles (3-2), ranked 12th nationally, were led by junior attacker Pam Kramer (Arlington, Va./Georgetown Visitation), who tallied two goals and four assists. Junior midfielder Kami McNinch (Stevensville, Md./Queen Anne's) recorded three goals and one assist, while senior midfielder Briana Gervat (Northport, N.Y./Northport) added two goals. Sophomore Tricia Marino (Ventnor, N.J./Lawrenceville) logged all 60 minutes in goal, recording 10 saves.
Washington and Lee (3-3), ranked 15th nationally, was led by freshman midfielder Kitt Murphy (Richmond, Va./St. Catherines) and senior midfielders Emily Owens (Waco, Texas/Episcopal) and Courtenay Fisher (Baltimore, Md./Garrison Forest), who each scored one goal. Sophomore Joanna Perini (Huntington, N.Y./Huntington) made four saves in goal for the Generals.
W&L will be in action again on Wednesday as it hosts Lynchburg for a 4:00 pm contest.
