Senior lefthander Brandon Matheny hurled seven strong innings to garner the victory for E&H in game one. He surrendered only six hits while striking out 11 in going the distance for the win. Junior David Sigler (Strasburg, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) took the loss for the Generals, allowing five earned runs on 13 hits. Senior rightfielder John Sawyers led the Wasps at the plate, going 3-for-4 in the contest, while junior third-baseman Paul Sipos went 2-for-5, knocking in a game-high three RBI. Sophomore third-baseman Matt Kozora (Ellicott City, Md./Glenelg) led W&L (4-6, 0-2 ODAC) with two hits and two RBI.

In the nightcap, the Wasps (2-3, 2-0 ODAC) scored six first-inning runs, highlighted by a three-run homer from junior catcher Josh Glaze. The blast was the first home-run ever to be hit at the "New" Smith Field. Senior David Miller went six innings, giving up three earned runs in claiming his first victory of the season. Sipos once again swung a hot bat for E&H, garnering three hits in five at-bats. Senior rightfielder Schuyler Marshall (Dallas, Texas/Highland Park) went 2-for-3 to lead the Generals.
