LEXINGTON, VA -- Washington and Lee's women's soccer team improved its record to 4-0 with a 10-0 victory over Greensboro College on Sunday afternoon at Liberty Hall Fields.
Senior forward Karin Treese (Frederick, Md./ Thomas Johnson) recorded her second "hat trick" of the season with three goals and one assist, while freshman forward Lauren Wendell (Cape Elizabeth, Me./ Cape Elizabeth) scored the first two goals of her career. In all, seven different Generals scored goals and three others had assists in the second double-figure scoring game for the Generals this season.
The W&L defense has still not allowed a goal all season and the offense is averaging 7.5 goals per game.
The team will travel to Sweet Briar College on Thursday afternoon to meet the Vixens at 4:30.
