LEXINGTON, Va. – Washington and Lee University Head Women's Tennis Coach
Erin Ness has announced that the team's match against No. 25 Christopher Newport on Sunday, February 22, has been postponed.
Sunday's Groundhog Palooza schedule initially featured Swarthmore vs. Case Western Reserve at 9:00 a.m., followed by the Generals against the Captains at 1:00 p.m. However, due to the threat of heavy snowfall in the northeast, Swarthmore was forced to return to campus a day early, thus canceling their match against the Spartans.
Case Western Reserve will now play Christopher Newport on Sunday at 9:00 a.m., while the Generals' and Captains' coaching staffs will work to schedule a make-up date for later this season.
The Generals will now get back on the courts on Tuesday with a 12:00 p.m. road match at Lynchburg and a 4:00 p.m. home contest against Roanoke.
