LEXINGTON, Va. — The ninth-ranked Washington and Lee University women's lacrosse game at No. 8 Salisbury, originally scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22, has been postponed due to forecasted snow impacting the Atlantic and Northeast regions.
The non-conference matchup will now be played on Sunday, March 1, in Salisbury, Md. with the first draw scheduled for 1 p.m.
The decision was made in coordination with Salisbury University and both institutions' athletic departments to ensure the safety of student-athletes, coaches and fans due to anticipated winter weather and travel concerns.
The Generals enter the contest ranked No. 9 nationally and will face a Sea Gull squad currently ranked No. 8 in what is expected to be a key early-season matchup between nationally ranked programs.
Fans are encouraged to monitor generalssports.com for additional schedule updates and links to live coverage as the new game date approaches.
