LEXINGTON, Va. – Washington and Lee University Head Women's Tennis Coach
Erin Ness has announced the team's competition schedule for the fall season.
The Generals will open play this Saturday and Sunday, September 13-14, at the Christopher Newport University Invite, where W&L will take on three teams in a mock dual format. They will face-off against Mary Washington and Longwood on Saturday, before battling the host Captains on Sunday.
Two weeks off from competition comes before the Generals make their annual fall trip to Fredericksburg, Va., for the 2025 ITA Southeast Region Championships from September 27 to 29. More information on this year's regional championship can be found
here. If any Generals make it to the championship match in either the singles or doubles main draws, they will advance to the ITA Cup in Rome, Ga., from October 16 to 19.
The remaining matches on the Generals' fall competition schedule will feature two home matches on October 4 as part of the W&L Fall Festival. Virginia Wesleyan and Asbury will come to Lexington and play each other on October 3, before the Generals will play the Eagles and Marlins the following day at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.
