LEXINGTON, Va, -- The 34th-ranked Washington and Lee women's tennis team completed its conference slate on Friday with a 7-0 sweep of Lynchburg at home, finishing the season 10-0 in ODAC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
All three doubles matches ended in 6-0 W&L (14-4, 10-0 ODAC) wins to get the match off to a strong start. Juniors

Allie Murrell occupied the No. 2 slot and juniors

Annie Jennings played at No. 3.

Greer Webb made quick work in her 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 4 singles, before first-year
Mary Kate Kahl (2), junior
Jordan Kach (5) and Custard (6) each followed with 6-1, 6-0 wins to run the team point total to 5-0. Long secured a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles, improving to 9-1 in top-flight singles on the season, while first-year
Jackie Daynovsky closed out the 7-0 win with a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 3.

NOTEWORTHY POINTS:
With the win, W&L finished the ODAC slate with a perfect 10-0 record, which marks the 35th-consecutive season in which the Generals have not lost a regular season conference match. Overall, the Generals have won 343 straight matches against ODAC foes in regular season match play.

Now that the conference season is wrapped up, the Generals will, once again, be the top seed for the ODAC Championship tournament, which gets underway next Tuesday, April 29. Regardless of the outcome of their quarterfinal match, Washington and Lee University has been designated to host both semifinal matches and the championship match next week, as well.

The Generals will play one final time before getting into the conference tournament, as they travel to No. 12 Johns Hopkins for a 9:00 a.m. start on Sunday.
