Women’s Swimming Secures 800 Freestyle Relay Title

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Washington and Lee University women's swimming team secured their first win of the 2025 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships on Wednesday evening.

Juniors Maria Jellig and Paige McBoyle, sophomore Riley Moorman, and first-year Marcy Mortimer teamed up in the 800 freestyle relay on Wednesday, opening the four-day meet with a victory. The squad posted a time of 7:40.24 to claim the title and secure 40 team points for the Blue and White.


Preliminary heats for the 500 freestyle, 200 individual medley, and 50 freestyle are set to begin at 10 a.m. tomorrow, with the finals of those events, along with the 200 freestyle and 400 medley relays, scheduled to start at 6 p.m. at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. You can follow the action via
