KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches announced its 2025 Women's Soccer All-America and All-Region teams this weekend, and seniors Sarah Zimmerman and Bryn Bissinger headlined Washington and Lee's honorees.

For the second straight season, Zimmerman was named a First Team All-American, with Bissinger landing on the All-America Third Team. Both players also made the All-Region First Team, while sophomores Kate McEnroe and Megan Zimmerman were selected as Second Team All-Region Players.

S. Zimmerman puts a stamp on a highly successful soccer career at W&L by becoming just the second player in program history to be named a First Team All-American twice (Kat Lawson '12 – 2009, 2011). She led the team, once again, in points (38) and goals (17) this season to round out her career tied for fourth in program history in career goals (42), fifth in points (105) and eighth in assists (21). Zimmerman also earned her second consecutive ODAC Player of the Year award in 2025, along with the ODAC Scholar Athlete of the Year award.

Bissinger becomes one of just three players in program history to earn All-America status in back-to-back seasons, regardless of team placing (S. Zimmerman – 2024-25; Anne Van Devender '09 – 2007-08). The ODAC Defensive Player of the Year for a second straight season, Bissinger highlighted another strong year from the W&L backline, leading the team to allowing just eight goals all season, while shutting out 16 opponents. She also got forward for 12 points (2g, 8a) to finish her career tied for third in career assists (25).

McEnroe earns her first career All-Region citation following a stellar season between the posts. Starting all 23 games this season, McEnroe posted a 0.40 goals-against average in 1,810:18 of action, while stopping 75-of-83 (0.904) shots on goal faced. She also produced nine shutouts, tied for the sixth most in a season in program history, while her 0.40 goals-against average was also the sixth-best mark in a season in program history.

M. Zimmerman caps off the 2025 W&L All-Region recipients with her second consecutive second team citation. Also a First Team All-ODAC performer, Zimmerman started all 23 games this year for the Generals and compiled 15 points on five goals and five assists. Her five helpers marked a new single-season career high, while two of her goals went down as game-winning scores.

The Generals had another successful season on the pitch in 2025, winning their second straight ODAC championship and making it to the NCAA Round of 16 for a second consecutive season. The team went 18-2-3 overall and was a perfect 10-0 in conference play.
