Sarah Zimmerman named CSC First Team Academic All-American

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Women's Soccer teams were announced on Wednesday, and senior Sarah Zimmerman repeated as a first team honoree.
 
With her selection, Zimmerman becomes the first player in program history to be named a two-time Academic All-American by CSC/CoSIDA. It is also just the fourth overall Academic All-America citation in program history and the third first team award.
 
Zimmerman put a stamp on a highly successful soccer career at W&L by turning in yet another strong season on the pitch. Statistically, she led the team, once again, in points (38) and goals (17) this season to round out her career tied for fourth in program history in career goals (42), fifth in points (105) and eighth in assists (21).
 
For her on-field efforts this season, Zimmerman was named a United Soccer Coaches First Team All-American, First Team All-Region and First Team All-ODAC, while she also collected her second straight ODAC Player of the Year award.
 
Zimmerman has also enjoyed a successful academic career at W&L, as she claimed ODAC/Va. Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar Athlete of the Year honors this season, on top of her two CSC Academic All-America awards. She also earned First Team Scholar All-Region and Scholar All-America accolades in 2024 from the United Soccer Coaches. A business administration and mathematics double-major, Zimmerman is also a six-time W&L Scholar Athlete and three-time ODAC All-Academic Team student.

The Generals had another successful season on the pitch in 2025, winning their second straight ODAC championship and making it to the NCAA Round of 16 for a second consecutive season. The team went 18-2-3 overall and was a perfect 10-0 in conference play.
