BLACKSBURG, Va. — The Washington and Lee University equestrian team closed its fall slate with a standout showing at the Virginia Tech Turkey Trot IHSA on Saturday, tying for first place with Virginia Tech and James Madison University. The Generals totaled 35 points after the drop and recorded multiple class wins and top-three finishes across all levels.
W&L was led by Elisabeth Marek, who captured the Open Fences Section A title to open the day, and Kate Martin, who won the Introductory Class to close out the show. Grace Steinberg added a runner-up ride in Pre-Novice, while Samantha Bourque, Ryon Sinclair, and Ella Hudson also turned in top-three performances to help the Generals match their highest team score of the fall.
