W&L Equestrian Ties for Fourth-Place at Hollins IHSA Show

ROANOKE, Va. — The Washington and Lee University equestrian team turned in a consistent performance at the Hollins University IHSA Show on Saturday, Oct. 10, tying for fourth place with 31 points after the dropped scores.

The Generals collected four runner-up rides and 10 total top-three finishes across eight classes in the field of nine teams. 

The University of Lynchburg captured the team title with 45 points, followed by Hollins (37) and Virginia Tech (33). W&L matched James Madison University for fourth place, led by a balanced effort from its Open, Intermediate, and Limit class riders who helped the Generals maintain a top-half team finish for the third consecutive event.
