BLACKSBURG, Va. — The Washington and Lee University equestrian team wrapped up its fall slate with a fourth-place finish on the second day of the Virginia Tech Turkey Trot IHSA, held Sunday, Nov. 9, at the Smithfield Horse Center.
First-year Henry McClure earned the Generals a second blue ribbon in the introductory class at Virginia Tech this weekend and led the Generals in scoring. W&L registered a point-rider ribbon-finish in each class and tallied 30 points after the drop.
The Blue and White were also paced by Elisabeth Marek, who earned a runner-up finish in Open Fences Section A and a third in Open Flat Section A, and Tytus Boston who added a second-place finish in Pre-Novice.
Samantha Bourque, Lydia Bowersox, and Irene Tsengas each contributed top-three performances to help the Generals secure a fourth place finish.
Up Next: Washington and Lee will resume competition in February 2026 for the spring portion of the IHSA season.
