LEXINGTON, Va. - The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced the bracket for the 2025 ODAC Field Hockey Championship, with No. 22 Washington and Lee earning the No. 3 seed and the right to host sixth-seeded Roanoke in the quarterfinal round on Tuesday, November 4, at W&L Turf Field. Game time will be announced once finalized with the opponent.

The Generals enter the postseason with a 13-4 overall record and a 7-1 mark in ODAC play, part of a three-way tie atop the conference standings with nationally ranked Lynchburg and Shenandoah. The tiebreaker process extended to the fifth step — goals allowed among the tied teams — where Lynchburg secured the top seed, Shenandoah claimed the No. 2 position based on its head-to-head win, and W&L earned the No. 3 seed.

W&L finished the regular season on a high note, defeating Bridgewater, 2-0, and closed out the regular season undefeated at home (7-0). The Generals have now gone unbeaten at W&L Turf Field during the regular season in three of the last five years and boast a 41-5 home record over that span.

Tuesday's quarterfinal will mark the second meeting this fall between W&L and Roanoke. In the regular-season matchup on October 5, the Generals dominated from start to finish in a 6–0 victory. W&L outshot the Maroons 29–2 and held a 7–0 edge in penalty corners, while senior goalkeeper Julia McDonald notched her second shutout of the season with two saves.

Sophomore Margaret Scheurer and Rookie Madeline Lancione each tallied two goals in the win, while Zoe Dolfis and Cecilia Hartford added one apiece. The Generals struck early and often, scoring twice in the opening seven minutes and four times before halftime to put the game out of reach.

Behind a balanced attack that has outscored opponents 55-18 and averages 3.24 goals per game, W&L look s to advance to the ODAC semifinals for the seventh consecutive season. The Generals' defense has been outstanding and has limited opposing offenses to just 8.8 shots per game while outproducing in the penalty corner statistic, 140-75.

The winner of Tuesday's matchup will travel to Winchester to face second-seeded Shenandoah in the semifinals on Thursday, November 6. For full tournament information, click here.
