No. 22 Field Hockey Stays Perfect at Home, Rolls Past EMU

LEXINGTON, Va. —The No. 22 Washington and Lee University field hockey team closed out its home regular-season schedule in commanding fashion, defeating Eastern Mennonite University 5–0 on Wednesday night at the W&L Turf Field.

With the conference victory, the Generals (12–4, 6–1 ODAC) completed a perfect 7–0 record at home this season and finished the regular season undefeated at home for the third time in the past five years. Over that span, W&L has built an exceptional 41–5 record at W&L Turf Field, continuing one of the program's strongest home-field runs in school history.

Washington and Lee took control early, scoring twice in the opening quarter. Margaret Scheurer opened the scoring at 3:16 off a penalty-corner insert from Charlotte Dreany, and Emma Wirth doubled the lead at 13:24 with an unassisted strike.
