LEXINGTON, Va. - Senior Mary Schleusner of the Washington and Lee University women's basketball team was named a Preseason First Team All-American by D3hoops.com ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

Schleusner picked up her third-straight preseason citation and second-straight First Team nod from the organization. She earned First Team All-America honors from D3hoops.com and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) following her junior season, while being named Region 6 Player of the Year and collecting both Player and Defensive Player of the Year awards from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC).

The two-time Region 6 Player of the Year posted another phenomenal season with the Blue and White, leading the team in points (648), points per game (21.6), rebounds (569), and blocks (87). She led Division III in total rebounds, rebounds per game, and double-doubles with 28, while helping lead the team to a 25–5 overall record and a Second Round appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

Schleusner also broke three program records last season: career points (1,826), career blocks (282), and total rebounds (1,464). She also set the single-season records for total rebounds and rebounds per game while resetting the ODAC's rebounds record.

The Generals, who are ranked sixth in both the D3hoops.com and WBCA Preseason Top 25, open their 2025-26 campaign on Nov. 8, taking on Allegheny College at 3 p.m. at the Women Leaders Tip-Off Tournament in Meadville, Pa.
