Tarbet, Attar Pick up Pair of Wins, Women's Swimming falls to No. 10 JHU, 132-104

LEXINGTON, Va. - The Washington and Lee University women's swimming team dropped their first dual of the new year, falling in 132-104 to No. 10 Johns Hopkins University on Saturday afternoon.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE MEET
  • The Blue and White fall to 3-3 on the season with this loss. W&L won four out of the 14 events this afternoon.
  • Clara Attar and Bella Tarbet stood out for the Generals, each securing two individual wins. Attar dominated the breaststroke events, recording the fourth-best time in the ODAC for the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:06.75. She also claimed first place in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:27.23, the fifth-best in the conference.
  • Tarbet also swept her events, winning both the 100 and 200 butterfly. She finished first in the 100 fly with a time of 58.23 and clocked in at 2:10.33 to take first in the 200 fly.

UP NEXT
  • The Blue and White return to action next weekend as they travel to Ashland, Va. for a dual meet with Randolph-Macon College. The Generals and Yellow Jackets are set to square off at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18.
