RICHMOND, Va. — Washington and Lee University's men's golf duo, Alex Holzapfel and Teddy Ross, represented the Generals as individuals at the 75th VSGA Intercollegiate Championship and finished in 11th and 14th place, respectively.
Holzapfel ended the tournament with a 9-over-par 151, posting rounds of 75 and 76. Ross finished just behind Holzapfel in 14th place, carding a total of 153 after rounds of 75 and 78 at the Richmond Golf Club.
The tournament was won by Benny Haggin of the University of Virginia, who surged to the top of the leaderboard after firing a 65 in the second round, finishing with a 7-under-par total of 135.

The non-varsity event consisted of 30 individuals from DI and DIII institutions across the Commonwealth. The tournament, hosted by the Virginia State Golf Association, wrapped up the Generals' fall competition schedule.
